DC and Marvel Cinematic Movies

    Depending on what you consider spoilers, this may contain spoilers about the movies. Some of the information is from the YouTube videos called Collider Movie Talk, and may just be speculations.  Read at your own risk.

    I am very excited for the new lineup that the DC Cinematic Universe. It started with Superman: Man of Steel and continues with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (coming out in March) and Suicide Squad not too far behind, followed by Wonder Woman and Justice League part 1 (next year) then The Flash and Aquaman (2018) and ending with Justice League part 2 and Cyborg, which may be called Teen Titans (2019).

    I am also very excited for Marvel’s phase 3 with Captain America: Civil War coming out in May followed by Doctor Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Spider-Man, and Thor, Ragnarok coming next year. I'm also excited about Black Panther, Avengers Infinity War part 1, Ant-Man and the Wasp all coming out in 2018. Captain Marvel, Avengers infinity War part 2 and Inhumans are the last announced and will be coming in 2019.

     Batman v Superman is my most anticipated movie of the year. Captain America: Civil War follows closely behind by a spec. Warner Brothers may not have the confidence that Marvel has about their movies. Also, it is hard to make a good Superman movie. Many people love Man of Steel, but there are many haters as well. Some people feel iffy about  Dawn of Justice for different reasons. For me, I have always wanted a Justice League movie and this one leads into one. I like Justice League in general a little more than I like the Avengers.  
     The new Batman being portrayed in the upcoming movie is based off the one from Dark Knight Returns. I am not into the actual comics but love the characters and the movies out there. In the Dark Knight Returns, batman is retired and the Justice League has been disbanded. Wonder Woman went back to her island, Green Lantern went back to space and Superman works for the President. The movie starts off with Bruce and Commissioner Gordon having dinner. By this time, Gordon knows Bruce is batman and notices the news in the restaurant reporting that mutant gangs are attacking. Gordon tells Bruce to stay in retirement because the gangs are starting to get out of hand. Being Bruce he, of course, does not listen and decides to go after the gangs. The government doesn't like that and sends Superman to try and convince Batman to go back into retirement.

     Now to compare to the trailers of Batman v Superman, I'm not sure if this Batman is coming out of retirement, but it does look as though this is an older version, seeing as Ben Affleck is playing the part. A lot of people didn't really like the latest trailer where they showed Batman and Superman working together with Wonder Woman to take on, what looked to be, Doomsday. The reason people are complaining is due to the trailer giving us all this information in only 3 min. I think they should have held off showing Wonder Woman and Doomsday and just made that its own trailer because we could get more info on why they’re there in the first place.
      I personally loved the trailer and got chills when Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman were standing there ready to face off against doomsday. Supposedly Cyborg, Aquaman and the Flash will make an appearance in the movie.

    I speculate in the movie, the reason that Batman and Superman are fighting is because of the events that happened in Man of Steel.  According to Batman, he thinks this super powered being from space with god like power, if unchecked, could cause more harm than good. This is referenced by a scene from Man of Steel where Zod and Superman are fighting and the massive amount of destruction they are causing. Superman has just taken on his role as earth’s protector in this new movie and is learning the hardships of the role. Since people don't know who Superman is, they are afraid of what he is capable of doing.

   Captain America 3 is expectantly going to be another great Marvel movie. We will be introduced to 2 new characters of the MCU, Black Panther and Spider-Man. The first trailer was awesome! Black Panther is expected to have a big role in the movie and although it seems as if he is on Iron Man's side, rumor has it that he is actually neutral. He will be kind of like the role Spider-Man plays in the comics. I've never read the comic but I've seen detailed hours long videos about it on YouTube. Frankly, I wasn't a fan of the Civil War comic just because there were to many miner details and a bunch of characters that I didn't know that well. So I'm expecting the movie to only have bits and specs from the comic, like the 2 different teams fighting and the registration act. That might be about it, in my opinion.                

     I Speculate that someone will die, just not Captain America. According to Cinimablend.com, Chis Evans has a 7 movie contract. Personally, I don't want Captain America to die in Civil War, unlike what happens in the Civil War comics. The 7 Movies that Chris is contracted in are Captain America: The First Avenger, Avengers, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Avengers: Age Of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War part 1 and 2. Chris has also said that he will be in Avengers: Infinity War according to John Campea, producer of Collider Movie Talk, who said Chris said it in a interview but didn't name the source. Also, I'm not really a fan of Winter Soldier or Falcon becoming Captain America. In the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) Winter Soldier is Winter Soldier, Falcon is Falcon and Captain America is Captain America. Anthany Makey who plays Falcon, also mentioned that during Chris Evan's panel at Salt Lake Comic Con, which I completely agree with. Also, Chris might continue his contract like Robert Downy Jr. in, Iron Man, did. Iron Man's contract initially ended at Avengers. Chris wants to be a director, but he's also decided not to stop acting as well. So we may see him in Phase 4.

   It will be fun to see Cross Bones, the guy that got burnt in Captain America: Winter Soldier, and I wonder how Baron Zemo will be. From what I know of Baron Zemo in an animated series called Avengers Earths Mightiest Heroes, he is very skilled in hand to hand combat and with the sword. I've even seen him take down and claim that he is better than the Abomination. Abomination is a Hulk villain that appeared in the movie The Incredible Hulk in Marvel's phase 1.

    Spider Man will also have an appearance in the movie. It will be more than just a cameo and Marvel has shown the scenes that he is in to Sony and approved his role in the movie. Sony still has the rights to Spider-Man but Marvel is allowed to put him in the MCU now. This will be a new Spider-man played by Tom Holland to be in High School again. So unfortunately the Amazing Spider-Man franchise is over. Josh Wheden the director of Avengers and Avengers Age of Ultron wanted to put Spider-Man and Captain Marvel in Avengers Age of Ultron but Marvel wouldn't let him because they didn't have the rights for Spider-Man yet and didn't know if they were doing Captain Marvel. By the time they had the green light for them, Avengers Age of Ultron was done shooting and couldn't add them into the movie which made Josh really mad at Marvel.
